Coptic Stitch Class

Saturday, May 5th, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the National Library Bindery Company, 55 South State Ave., Suite 100, Indianapolis.

Join us for our Coptic Stitch class! We will be exploring the Coptic stitch which was primarily used between the 2nd century and the 11th century A.D. This artistic style of binding is known for its exposed stitching and its ability for unique covers and cover materials. Each student will be able to create their own Coptic Stitch piece.

The student’s Coptic stitch piece will be most similar to the leather stitched book pictured above. Students will also be given the opportunity to gold stamp a decoration on their cover.

Cost: $60.00. All supplies included. Call 317 636-5606 or email for more information.
